It’s that time of the year again! Wayne Ballet Theater’s annual Nutcracker will take place at Upper Merion High School December 19th and 20th, 2015. We are very excited to announce that Nutcracker Tickets are now available for purchase online. The button on our homepage or under the “Other Services” tab will re-direct you to our Yapsody page where you we be able to select the show date and time amongst other options. The page uses PayPal so you may complete your transaction using any credit card, debit card, or paypal account. (Remember to print your tickets and bring them with you to the performance. We cannot accept tickets shown on phone screens at this time).
We will also have hard copies available at the desk and at the door before performances, but we are encouraging everyone to buy online to help cut down on the last minute line for tickets at the door. Please feel free to share this information with family members or friends that are interested in coming to the show! We are extremely excited to share this new system with you and we hope that it greatly eases the process of purchasing tickets for all of our future performances.
Wayne Ballet and Center for Dance Arts will be open for all regularly scheduled ballet classes this Saturday, September 26th. We will also be holding the 9:30AM Intermediate Contemporary class. This will be the only contemporary class offered that day.
This Friday, September 25th, the Ballet 4X/5 Company class will be a master class taught by Blanca Huertas-Agnew, an ABT certified teacher and former principal dancer with Ballets de San Juan. We are extremely excited to have her here!

All studio news and updates, including inclement weather closures, rehearsal schedules, and tuition due date reminders will be posted right here as well as below the event calendar. Any last-minute studio closures or schedule changes will also be posted directly on our home page in red.

Nutcracker auditions will be held Friday, September 18th, and Saturday, September 19th. The audition times are as follows:
Friday, September 18th
6:00 PM Ballet 4/5*
(Warm-up followed by audition)
Saturday, September 19th
3:00 PM Ballet 1/1x
3:30 PM Ballet 2
4:00 PM Ballet 2x/3
4:30 PM Ballet 3x/4*
*Students must be prepared to dance en pointe.
Students should be ready to dance at the audition time scheduled for their level. The length of each audition can vary and dancers may be asked to stay beyond their scheduled time.
ATTENTION: We have added new classes to our schedule this year based on demand! Please check them out and sign up!
NEW! Jazz 1X/2– This is a beginner Jazz class for students in ballet levels 1 through 2. Students will enjoy exploring movement in the style of jazz dance ranging from contemporary movement to classic jazz style. This class should be taken in addition to the student’s recommended ballet schedule.
NEW! Intermediate Jazz– This is an open Jazz class designed for pre-teen through adult students.
NEW! Theater Dance– This is a fun open class for intermediate to advanced students to learn dance for the theater- think Broadway favorites!
